“Seriously, I lose my glasses all the time.” --Elizabeth Faraut, LA LOOP founder
LA LOOP is a collection of thoughtfully designed ‘frame chain’ necklaces, first created by Elizabeth Faraut in New York City, 1999. Having honed her eye at Le Figaro, Guerlain, and Guess, Elizabeth was inspired by losing her glasses one too many times and came up with a solution that was both impeccably functional and incredibly stylish.
"LA LOOP blends the elegant clean lines of a necklace with a simple silver circle ingeniously and custom crafted to hold glasses," Elizabeth says of the patented design. "It's the necklace people don't leave home without." Advertised in the New Yorker, written up in the New York Observer, featured in the New York Times, and given the thumbs up by a Vogue fashion editor, LA LOOP quickly attracted a loyal following of long- (and short-) sighted creatives who wondered where LA LOOP had been all their lives—and who no longer wasted precious minutes wondering where the heck they last put their reading glasses.
Twenty years – and thousands of LA LOOPS later, Elizabeth and the company are now based in Southern California (basically the capital of lost sunglasses). She continues to inspire and innovate, introducing new styles seasonally, using top-of-the-line materials and artisanal production. Find LA LOOP now at 20/20 OPTICAL, Brisbane Arcade.
