2000… and we were two crazy kids living in London with a dream to bring all the amazing collections of international eyewear designers back to our home town in Brisbane, Australia. We went to our very first eyewear trade fair in Milan and then moved back home to set up shop before our new treasures arrived :)

And so the 20/20 Optical Store was born in inner-city Brisbane, introducing the most innovative eyewear designers of the day and service-driven attention to detail, not only in your eye test but in the selection of the right frame for your face.

Over the years we became 20/20 Optical, we refined our collections to reflect the most inspiring + innovative upcoming eyewear designers, and refined our high level of service and advice to continue providing the very best optical experience in Brisbane. It’s what we do, and we do it well :)

In 2020, we’re celebrating 20 years of pursuing excellence in eye care + eyewear and we still feel as excited and inspired by new design each year. You can find us in our fabulous new store in Brisbane Arcade on the Queen Street Mall, Brisbane City.

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, we have launched a limited edition collection of Rose Gold + Palladium frames – a THEO x 20/20 Optical collab, exclusive worldwide to our store :) Pop in and try them!

We believe in handmade artistry and meaningful design. Of course, we want our clients to see better + stay healthy… after all, “the beautiful rests on the foundations of the necessary” (thanks Ralph Waldo Emerson), but our passion is to achieve these goals with a design-driven consideration for sustainability, craftsmanship and longevity. The era of throw-away fashion is over. We support Vivienne Westwood’s mantra that one should Buy Less, Choose Well.
