Whether they're a beloved vintage find, a designer pair you can't part with, or frames gifted by someone special — we believe great glasses deserve to last.

Our team of expert dispensing opticians can assess almost any frame and fit high-quality prescription lenses to bring them back to their best.

This service is sometimes called 'retro-fitting', 'reglazing' or 'bringing your own frames' — whatever you call it, we're here to help.

  • Yes indeed! Just about always. But we need to see them first. We can fit new prescription lenses into frames that are in good condition. Bring them in and we'll assess them for free.

  • Breathe easy! Help is at hand. When you visit us, we'll measure you and your frame with world's best precision equipment from Zeiss.

    You keep your current eyewear and we'll notify you when your new lenses have arrived. We'll then make a time to edge and fit your new lenses while you have a coffee. Usually this only takes an hour. We're experts at this. This is what we do, and we do it well.

  • Single vision, bifocal and progressive lenses. We also offer anti-reflection, blue light, transitions and polarised coatings.

  • Not all frames can be re-glazed. We'll assess yours honestly at no charge and advise before any work begins.

  • Yes. This is necessary. If you don't have one, we can easily book you in for an eye test.

  • Yes! One of our most popular requests. We can fit prescription lenses (including polarised) into most quality sunglass frames.

  • Most jobs are completed within 7–14 business days. We'll confirm when you drop your frames in.

  • Pricing depends on prescription, lens type and coatings. We'll quote in full before starting — no surprises. Health fund extras may apply via HICAPS.

  • Yes — optical extras cover typically applies to lenses fitted in your own frames. We process claims via HICAPS on the spot.

  • Yes, of course. As much as we love 2020 Optical eyewear, we're not eyewear snobs... life's too short for that nonsense. As long as the frames are suitable for re-glazing (we'll assess this), we're happy to fit quality lenses to your frame. We're are lens experts with over 30 years of experience.

  • Our team handles all frames with extreme care. In the rare event of accidental damage we will discuss resolution directly with you. Please let us know of any known fragility when dropping frames in.
